Jaroslava Baconová, Conversation classes and Continuing Education
Jaroslava Baconová is presently taking on our conversation classes and developing Continuing Education Projects. Her former students can be found all over the world, Prague, Glasgow, New Orleans, or Québec.
Michelle Havel, Online Kids Classes and School Coordination
Michelle joined the team in 2021 as our online summer school teacher. She is one of the founders of Czech and Slovaks in Ottawa Facebook Group.
Michelle is now leading our coordination team.
Pavel Oškrkaný, Teens and Adults Saturday School
Pavel Oškrkaný joined our team in January 2022. Secondary school teacher of history, geography, and a poet in his spare time, Pavel developed our small groups conversations and will be taking our Teens and Adult Saturday Class.

The new Ottawa Czech School was founded in 2019, by Jaroslava Baconová, David Beneš and Lucie Koďousková.
Lucie Koďousková, co-founder of our new Ottawa Czech School and our dedicated Kids Program Leader, was an exceptional, generous, and beloved mother, friend, teacher, and community builder. We are committed to keeping her memory alive in our school, and honor her and her family’s dedication to Czech culture, language, and community.
